Responsibilities
Draft and design parts, tooling and fixtures for use in production and elsewhere
Prototype and manufacture parts, tooling and fixtures
Use and maintain prototyping and fabrication equipment
Use CAD (Solidworks) to facilitate the above
Shadow production and quality teams
Communicate with production teams to assess and modify parts, tooling, and fixtures
Daily reporting of project status and action planning
Qualification
Required
Mechanical, Industrial, or similar Engineering Program Student
Parallel thinking and creative problem solving ability (observant contributor)
Proficiency in communicating concepts and project details in plain language
Developed capacity for active listening and observation
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment
Preferred
Experience with or ongoing education in drafting and CAD (Solidworks preferred)
