KPICD Strategic Partnerships Liaison

Texas Christian University is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Liaison for the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development (KPICD). This role focuses on developing and maintaining partnerships with external organizations to support the institute’s initiatives and mission, while also collaborating with university offices to coordinate philanthropic opportunities.

Responsibilities

Fosters long-term, mission-aligned relationships with individuals, foundations, businesses, and civic groups
Identifies partnership opportunities that align with institute and university priorities, including student experiential learning, development of resources, training and implementation support (locally and globally), and other community-based initiatives
Serves as the main point of contact for community engagement and collaborations in order to build strong relationships with external partners and facilitate financial and in-kind contributions to the institute’s academic programs, student success initiatives, research, outreach, and resource development efforts
Represents the institute at community events, meetings, and engagements to strengthen visibility and deepen connections
Engages with the University’s Advancement and Strategy & Innovation offices as needed to ensure strategic alignment and stewardship of external partners
Coordinates with institute leadership to align partnership goals with organizational priorities and resource needs. Based on priorities and needs, identifies opportunities to support initiatives through partnerships
Contributes to the creation of compelling funding proposals, reports, and impact updates in partnership with university communications and institute leadership
Supports proposal development, reporting, and impact storytelling in coordination with internal teams
Collaborates with KPICD leadership to understand needs of each team and identify opportunities to support initiatives
Keeps KPICD leadership and TCU Advancement aware of new development opportunities as they arise in order to facilities proper coordination
Assists in planning and executing events, campaigns, and community engagement strategies that support the institute’s mission, sustainability, and impact
Tracks and reports on partnership engagement metrics and initiative outcomes; ensures accurate and timely data management in collaboration with other university entities (e.g., Davis College of Science and Engineering, Advancement, etc)
Contributes to the culture of connection on campus through collaborative relationship-building and mission-driven storytelling
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field
5 years of experience in non-profits, community engagement, partnerships, fundraising, or related areas
Valid Driver's License
Must be insurable under the university motor vehicle requirements
Skills in relationship-building and communication, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders
Ability to connect with people easily and to communicate through effective storytelling
Knowledge of partner engagement strategies and community-based collaboration to leverage resources
Ability to cultivate partnerships to maximize collective impact
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse constituencies
Ability to work collaboratively across teams in a mission-driven environment
Ability to showcase passion for the organization's mission and a commitment to equity and community-centered work
Ability to think creatively and strategically, and thrive in collaborative environments
Knowledge of institutional advancement, alumni engagement, or public-private partnerships
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and drive results
Organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
Skill in effective writing
Ability to communicate clearly, write effectively, and draft grammatically accurate correspondence
Skill in professional communication with internal teams and external partners
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Ability to learn and adapt to evolving policies and systems
Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information
Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication
Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions
Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting
Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs
