5+ years expMDAEdge is seeking a skilled Microsoft Power BI Developer with a reinsurance industry background to join their dynamic team and transform data into actionable intelligence. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using Power BI, Databricks, and dbt while collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand reporting needs
Utilize Databricks and dbt to create gold-standard reporting objects for Power BI dashboards
Design and develop interactive dashboards and custom reports using Power BI
Build data models and execute data transformations using Power Query and DAX
Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous validation and quality checks
Optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability
Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI-related issues promptly
Document processes, data sources, and report specifications for future reference
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role
Strong proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling
Experience working with SQL and relational databases
Solid understanding of data visualization best practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Reinsurance industry knowledge
Familiarity with other BI tools (IBM Cognos, Tableau, QlikView)
Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud services and data warehousing
Strong expertise in Databricks and dbt
Certification in Microsoft Power BI or related technologies
Preferred
Experience with other BI tools (IBM Cognos, Tableau, QlikView) is a plus
Reinsurance industry knowledge is preferred
