Responsibilities

Oversee all stages of the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization, specifically for lathes, live tooling, and static tooling products
Cultivate and manage strong relationships with vendors, ensuring alignment on product specifications, timelines, and cost structures
Lead market research efforts to define customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes
Assist in creating and enhancing marketing materials (e.g., brochures, websites, catalogs) and work cross-functionally with marketing and sales teams to drive product launches and promote new tooling solutions
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and ensure product availability at all times
Regularly monitor product performance and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation, particularly around tooling efficiency and performance

Required

In-depth knowledge of lathe machinery, live tooling, static tooling, and machining processes is essential
A strong understanding of the competitive landscape and customer needs within the lathe and tooling market is required
Must be able to develop and execute both short-term and long-term product roadmaps aligned with company strategy and market needs for tooling products
Strong financial acumen for budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of product management or marketing experience, ideally within machine tools, lathes, and tooling solutions
Additional experience in cross-functional team leadership, strategic planning, and vendor management is highly preferred

Preferred

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and manage external relationships with tooling suppliers
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in fast-paced or complex environments
Proficient in using product management tools, data analysis software, and project management tools to track and manage product lifecycles
Experience with purchasing, market research and analysis, pricing strategies, and budget management
Knowledge of lathe operations, live tooling, and static tooling is highly preferred
Familiarity with Agile or other product development methodologies is a plus
