Responsibilities
Coach, develop, mentor and lead an excellent accounting staff and play a key role in growing the team as the company expands and becomes more and more diverse; our client is focused on hiring a leader who is passionate about people development while capable of overseeing and taking ownership for the monthly close and financial consolidation process
Work closely with and report directly to the CFO and financial executive team as you help to set the strategy and vision for process improvement initiatives, organizational expansion plans, acquisition integration strategy, and you will be involved in the discussions as strategy and vision are established
Play a key leadership role from an internal controls and take your seat at the table. We are searching for a hands on leader, who has an operational mindset. Someone with a technical skill set but can also think critically as a dynamic leader
Act as the contact point with external Big 4 auditors and other key partners
Participate in important projects including M&A / acquisition integration, purchase accounting, expanding into new regions and growth initiatives
Qualification
Required
Experience in overseeing consolidation, reporting, and accounting standard research
Ability to coach, develop, mentor, and lead an accounting staff
Experience in managing the monthly close and financial consolidation process
Ability to work closely with and report directly to the CFO and financial executive team
Experience in setting strategy and vision for process improvement initiatives
Experience in organizational expansion plans and acquisition integration strategy
Strong internal controls leadership
Operational mindset with technical skill set
Ability to think critically as a dynamic leader
Experience acting as a contact point with external Big 4 auditors
Participation in M&A / acquisition integration and purchase accounting
Experience in expanding into new regions and growth initiatives
