Project Coordinator for CCAMPIS Grant and Student Parent Services (Contractual)

Responsibilities
Create and develop online participant application and onboarding process
Develop and maintain CCAMPIS website
Identify student parents with greatest need via Enrollment Management, Financial Aid, Admissions, Institutional Research and other partners
Work with supervisor, dean of students, and marketing and communications in developing a university recruitment strategy plan
Initiate outreach to accredited centers, create affiliate application for accreditation, and engage in site visits to accredited centers
Co-coordinate and assist with student parent orientation at University Child Care Center (UCCC)
Develop partnerships with state and local social service agencies to develop resources and workshops
Serve as primary contact and liaison for childcare agencies and student parents
Connect student parents to wrap around and academic services
Establish internal funding protocols for subsidy payments
Process disbursements to approved vendors
Create and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to PI and AVP-Dean
Order and maintain inventory of parents’ starter kit
Participate in monthly CCAMPIS Leadership Team Meetings
Lead monthly Campus Stakeholders Meetings
Assemble and disseminate parents’ starter kits
Establish relationships with Student Support and Outreach Services (SOS), Academic Advising and other campus partners
Assist in the development of assessment surveys and protocols
Create CCAMPIS Parent Handbook
Engage in regular check-in meetings with student parents
Work with Student Activities to explore development of Student Parent Organization
Establish presentation design & outcomes with campus partners
Complete end of year annual report and other student parent assessments
Annually attend and represent Towson University at the Ohio State University Parent Success Symposium, Department of Education Director's Meeting, and University System of Maryland Student Parent Work Group
Partner with Early Childhood Education department to conduct continuing education for childcare providers
Assist in oversight and supervision of student employees or students engaging in co-curricular activities that support the CCAMPIS Grant
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in human services field such as social work, public health, education, or related field and four years of related experience; or a master's degree in human services field such as social work, public health, education, or related field with two years of related experience
Ability to foster an environment where services can be altered, enhanced, and improved to address the changing or emerging needs of student parents
Ability to engage in rapid response to emergent or other situations that need immediate attention
Ability to work effectively and respectfully with a diverse and pluralistic campus and external campus community
Ability to work independently and follow-through on project goals
Ability to maintain a professional attitude towards Children's Center families, students, faculty, staff, co-workers and supervisors
Ability to address the needs of student-parents by actively supporting their educational pursuits at the university
Ability to respond promptly to requests from prospective and current parents, and other constituents
Ability to work effectively in a creative and team-centered environment
Ability to speak effectively to large and small groups
Ability to allocate limited resources in a cost-effective manner
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to design and lead workshops to address student-parents' academic, health and social needs
Ability to analyze information and make informed decisions
Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development seminars, and attending training and/or courses
Preferred
Candidates who share a philosophy of student accompaniment and support
Experience in coordinating and directing educational programs and activities
Knowledge of best practices for working with student parents
Experience working with families with children, childcare providers, or accredited childcare centers
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite
