Equipment Engineer
Rose International is leading a transformation within the auto industry through its LGES – HONDA Joint Venture, which specializes in developing and manufacturing large lithium-ion polymer batteries for electric vehicles. The Equipment Engineer II will support manufacturing operations, ensure workplace safety, and optimize equipment performance while mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities
Utilize data analysis and Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) to lead, support, develop and justify solutions with related groups/departments to solve complex equipment related problems
Monitor and manage equipment to ensure optimal manufacturing performance and function, while minimizing operating expenses and ensuring safety
Create, analyze, and present reports to identify and communicate machine micro stops, breakdowns and yield impacts, and lead the development of countermeasures, striving for continuous improvement
Complete and develop production work orders for equipment related items by creating or updating PLC Ladder Logic, improving mechanical design, updating vision systems, updating line layouts, etc
Develop capability of self and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences
Teach and mentor other engineers, delegating tasks when appropriate
In some areas, manage direct reports and complete annual performance reviews of engineers
Effectively communicate to all levels and shifts within the organization to ensure common understanding and direction
Communicate with local and international vendors and purchasing department to facilitate equipment repairs and replacement
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
3 to 7+ years of experience in manufacturing related job or equivalent relevant experience

Equipment Maintenance
PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)
Six Sigma
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
CAD Software (AutoCad, Solidworks, Catia, etc.) experience
PLC Ladder Logic experience
Positive attitude, open minded, and team player
Strong self-motivation and desire to work in a manufacturing environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and solve complex problems
Strong technical analysis and troubleshooting skills
Ability to manage projects and schedules
Comply with company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
Able to work in both office and manufacturing environments
Hands-on support of equipment
Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations
Flexibility to work adjusted shifts as necessary
This role requires up to 20% of travel (domestic and/or international)
Preferred
Six Sigma knowledge preferred (1+ yrs)
Korean language proficiency a plus (1+ yrs)
Battery production related knowledge preferred but not required
