Responsibilities

Develop and implement IT strategies in alignment with project timelines and business objectives
Manage and lead IT and software development teams to achieve project deliverables
Evaluate, recommend, and guide technology investments tailored to project needs
Oversee system updates, migrations, and upgrades from planning through production deployment
Ensure compliance with IT security standards and project-specific policies
Lead and oversee DevOps deployment pipelines to ensure reliable, secure, and successful application delivery
Coordinate closely with government stakeholders, technical leads, and cross-functional teams

Required

Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT leadership and software architecture
Extensive hands-on expertise in Java and enterprise application development
Proven experience in IT management roles, preferably supporting government contracts
Strong knowledge of: Java, J2EE, and Object-Oriented Programming principles
XML, RESTful services, and API-driven architectures
Spring Boot, microservices, and workflow architectures
Container-based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
Demonstrated ability to deliver results within tight project deadlines
Must be IRS cleared and eligible to work on federal systems
Must reside in or near Washington, DC or Dallas, TX and be willing to work onsite as required
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to make sound technical decisions in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment

Preferred

PMP certification
Fluency in DevOps methodologies and best practices
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, CloudBees, or similar platforms
