Inventory Control Manager
Geoshield Window Film is focused on window film distribution and operations, and they are seeking an Inventory Control Manager to oversee their inventory management operations. This role involves ensuring accurate tracking, optimal stock levels, and efficient handling of materials across the Baton Rouge and Las Vegas facilities.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits to ensure 99%+ inventory accuracy
Manage inventory tracking systems to record receipts, transfers, production usage, and shipments between Baton Rouge and Las Vegas
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and adjustments promptly
Monitor stock levels, set reorder points, and maintain safety stock to support production and concierge orders without excess inventory
Collaborate with the Head of operations to forecast inventory needs based on production plans and sales trends
Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and recommend actions to reduce holding costs
Work with the Baton Rouge Ops Lead and Las Vegas Ops Lead to ensure accurate receiving, put-away, and storage of incoming materials
Coordinate inter-facility transfers and material movements to align with operational schedules
Support warehouse teams in maintaining organized inventory storage and efficient picking processes
Evaluate and implement improvements to inventory control procedures, including automation and system enhancements
Monitor key inventory KPIs (e.g., inventory accuracy, turnover rates, stockout rates) and drive performance improvements
Develop and enforce inventory policies and standard operating procedures
Partner with the Production Manager to align inventory availability with production and fulfillment requirements
Provide inventory data and insights to the Head of Operations for procurement planning and vendor coordination
Collaboration with operations leads to integrate inventory processes into daily workflows
Track and analyze inventory metrics, such as accuracy rates, turnover, and variance trends
Prepare weekly inventory reports for the Head of Operations, highlighting performance, issues, and recommendations
Use data to recommend strategies for inventory optimization and cost reduction
Identify potential inventory risks, such as stock discrepancies or supply disruptions, and develop mitigation strategies
Maintain contingency measures to ensure material availability during unexpected events
Monitor inventory health to anticipate and prevent shortages or excesses
Qualification
Required
2-5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or related roles, preferably in distribution, manufacturing, or materials handling
Proven track record of maintaining high inventory accuracy and implementing control processes
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, Shopify tools, and basic data analytics
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to collaborate across teams
Proficiency in Google Suite and inventory software for tracking and reporting
