ALTEN is a company seeking a Systems Analyst to act as a Subject Matter Expert in analyzing, configuring, and testing Oracle R12 financial modules. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, preparing functional specifications, and troubleshooting issues related to finance modules.

Responsibilities

Act as SME to analyze, provide solution, configure & perform testing in Oracle R12 financial modules, while understanding potential regulatory and SOX environment. Provide recommendation in implementing best practice solutions for both business process and technology
Configure new OUs and relevant Oracle financial modules (AP, FA, SLA, GL, AR, Projects, Costing) as needed. Prepare configuration documents
Work closely with key users, accounting team, business analysts to understand requirements and project road maps
Collaborate with stakeholders and cross functional teams to track project progress, identify, communicate risks and status and assess potential impacts to the business
Prepare functional specifications for programs development, reports and third party integrations as needed. Work as liaison between business and developer to communicate and develop custom solutions
Create test plans, write test scripts, conduct end to end testing and work with users for User testing
Troubleshoot issues related to Finance Modules and third-party integrations
Work with software vendor support on system issues and bugs fixes (Oracle Support etc)
Technical understanding of tables; working knowledge of SQL to troubleshoot issues
Experience with 3rd party interfaces (e.g. labor accounting, exchange rates etc.)
Strong problem solving and communication skills (written and verbal) including technical and non-technical documentation, business interactions, presentations etc
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others

Required

ERP Oracle Application Functional Finance consultant - General Ledger, SLA, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Tax (EbTax & Vertex)
Finance domain knowledge
Working knowledge in writing SQL queries
Exposure to Mergers & Acquisitions
7+ Years of experience as an Oracle (ERP) financial functional consultant
5+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree
7+ Years of experience as an Oracle (ERP) financial functional consultant
7+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor's degree
