Director of Residential Treatment Programs

Connecticut Renaissance is seeking a Director of Residential Treatment Programs responsible for the supervision and direction of all residential treatment initiatives. This role involves ensuring compliance with agency policies, overseeing program quality, and maintaining relationships with funding and regulatory sources.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise the operations of all CT Renaissance Residential Treatment Programs to ensure that they are operated in accordance with agency policies & procedures and applicable state and federal regulations, DSS and ASAM requirements, standards of accreditation, facility licensure and funding sources, and safety and ethical codes
Responsible for the oversight, supervision and quality assurance of all residential substance use, mental health and co-occurring clinical services including both record keeping and direct services
Maintain oversight of residential program budgets, revenues and billing systems. Review financial performance with Program Directors, Chief Financial Officer and executive leadership team
Interface with funders of the Residential Treatment Programs to ensure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements, including staffing supervision, communications and coordination with DSS, CSSD, DMHAS and DOC as applicable
Provide and document clinical and operational supervision to Residential Treatment Program Directors. Oversee training and development, performance management, annual reviews and progressive discipline of direct reports and residential program staff
Ensure Program Directors and Clinical Staff adhere to all funding, regulatory and agency standards and documentation requirements
Support the Program Directors in program and service development
Assist Program Directors in the hiring, management and evaluation of staff members
Provide clinical supervision for any residential staff members whose Program Director or Supervisor cannot provide that supervision
Provide clinical and operational trainings as required
Ensure staff members maintain the licensing and certification status required for their position and that they complete internally and externally mandated training and development activities
Work with the Facilities Department to ensure that residential treatment facilities remain is in a good state of maintenance and cleanliness at all times and is compliant with all related local and State regulations
Ensure that on-call procedures are in place and functional at all times in the Residential Treatment Programs in compliance with 1115 Waiver stipulations and crisis management protocols
Update senior agency management and executive leadership on the status of the Residential Treatment Programs and provide timely notification in case of significant issues and emergencies
Collaborate with the Clinical Performance and Outcomes Department, senior and executive leadership in the development of residential and related policies and procedures
Attend all required internal and external meetings
Complete all required internal and external trainings
Oversee outcomes performance including residential effectiveness, efficiency, customer satisfaction, chart audits, billing and funder audits to ensure the quality, timeliness and accuracy adheres to agency Policies & Procedures and the rules and regulations of funding sources and regulatory agencies. Meet and contribute to agency outcomes and performance measures
Review and sign clinical documentation as needed
May perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Required

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services field
Active Connecticut licensure: LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
Ten plus years' experience within behavioral health environment specific to substance abuse, mental health, and/or co-occurring and integrated behavioral health services; minimum of five years' experience in residential settings
Proven Supervisory ability
The biological and psychosocial dimensions of substance use, mental health and co-occurring disorders, including diagnosis, assessment and treatment
Fee for service and billing requirements for residential services; fiscal management skills
Outcome measures and Quality Improvement processes

Electronic Healthcare Record systems
HIPAA regulations and other regulatory laws
General office software, particularly Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365
Supervise Program Directors and staff, including the development of performance evaluations

Must be able to meet routine office physical demands including climbing stairs, carrying up to 20-pound objects and possessing the dexterity and vision to operate office computers and equipment
Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred

Experience with CSSD, DMHAS and Department of Correction programs and clients a plus
