Responsibilities
Management position in the company’s energy engineering division
Oversee detailed energy audits in accordance with ASHRAE standards for commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings
Identify energy conservation measures with high energy savings potential and calculate the energy savings and cost-effectiveness of eligible measures
Produce high-quality reports and customer proposals suitable for both technical and lay audiences
Conduct on-site and virtual meetings and presentations, and provide answers to technical and program-related questions in support of the sales team
Manage all aspects of energy audits, retro-commissioning studies, energy modeling studies, and project implementations
Plan project activities, update project forecasts, and maintain accurate records of project milestones
Execute portfolio of projects on time, on budget, and with technical proficiency while exceeding client expectations
Develop and maintain technical tools and calculators
Conduct whole-building energy modeling using eQuest, EnergyPlus, TRACE, or similar
Perform benchmarking analyses using Energy Star Portfolio Manager
Effectively and professionally communicate with clients to ensure client needs and expectations are exceeded
Stay informed about energy issues and industry trends through regular training, technical reading, and participation in local and national professional organizations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
7+ years of experience, including extensive experience with ASHRAE Level 2 energy audits, report writing, and energy analysis
Project management experience
PE license and CEM, CEA, CAP, CLEP, CLMP, LEED AP certifications are a plus
Strong familiarity with building energy systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, central plants, controls, etc
Significant experience in energy saving strategies and calculation of the associated energy savings
Experience producing whole-building energy modeling using eQuest, EnergyPlus, TRACE or similar
In-depth knowledge of the various State and City Building Performance Standards
Experience working with utility rebate programs
Knowledge of 179D, 45L, etc
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
