Responsibilities
Applying actuarial and/or analytical skills to diverse employee benefits financial modeling, related to operational/vendor evaluation and compliance matters
Working with core audit teams by helping them review company disclosures for defined benefit pension plans and assessing if they meet requirements
Processing, comparing and summarizing census data and helping to prepare complex actuarial valuations and related financial disclosures
Reviewing annual tax and financial disclosures in connection with required annual audits
Assessing financial and compliance risks in retirement and benefit plans
Preparing individual benefit calculations for pension programs
Preparing annual employee benefit plan filings in accordance with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) or Department of Labor (DOL) regulations
Qualification
Required
An undergrad or master's degree with a concentration in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics (and pursuing Pension and/or Health)
An understanding of the actuarial exam and certification process with a start on the exam process underway (successful completion of one or more actuarial exams preferred), or a commensurate level of continuing education for non-actuarial areas of focus
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs
Preferred
Familiarity with time value of money and interest calculations
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong academic foundation in business and/or technology and demonstrated ability to evaluate complex issues and develop effective solutions
Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot
