The role involves leading the migration of applications to Kubernetes clusters across AWS and Azure, developing modular Terraform code, and implementing CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

Serve as the subject matter expert for Kubernetes and Terraform within a healthcare technology environment

Lead migration of applications to Kubernetes clusters across AWS (primary) and Azure

Refactor and simplify complex custom wrapper code used for cluster creation, separating infrastructure, security, and IAM logic for maintainability and reduced risk

Develop highly modular, automated, and understandable Terraform code (infrastructure as code)

Implement and manage CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions exclusively

Collaborate closely with a small, agile team of 4, while engaging with platform teams as needed

Ensure robust security and access management practices (IAM) in multi-cloud environments

Participate in knowledge transfer and direct collaboration with team members

Support future integration of UI tools and ongoing feature development by establishing a solid codebase foundation

Apply best practices and production experience from healthcare or enterprise-scale environments
