Director of Benefits
LHH is seeking a senior-level benefits leader to oversee the full portfolio of health, welfare, retirement, wellness, and leave programs. This role will drive benefits strategy, vendor management, regulatory compliance, and communication initiatives while leading a dedicated benefits team.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, administration, and compliance of all employee benefit, wellness, and leave programs
Manage vendor and broker relationships, contract negotiations, benchmarking, and cost analysis
Oversee annual open enrollment, including renewals, communications, and systems management
Develop clear, engaging benefits communication strategies to increase employee understanding and utilization
Maintain strict regulatory compliance through documentation, audits, reporting, and policy oversight
Provide leadership, coaching, and development to benefits team members
Partner with HR leadership and executive teams on strategic planning, risk management, and operational improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in health & welfare and 401(k) administration for workforces of 1,000+ employees
Strong knowledge of benefit regulations, HRIS/benefits platforms, and compliance requirements
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Strong customer service focus with the ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization
Preferred
SPHR, CEBS, or CPP
4+ years of management experience
