Responsibilities
Administer and supervise W&I program activities in the Service Center throughout the region for which they are assigned
Ensure proper weights and descriptions are applied on shipments to gain revenue that would otherwise be lost due to understatement of weight or incorrect description of commodities
Monitor the freight handled by the Service Center in assigned region
Train new dock associates in proper procedures for issuing weight certificates
Adjust descriptions and weights as necessary on shipments and prepare W&I forms to support changes
Verify all scales are accurate and functioning daily
Arrange for repair of equipment as needed
Monitor usage of forklift and/or platform scales
Assist customers in determining classifications as needed
Compile weekly W&I revenue generation reports
Remain current with changes in National Motor Freight Classification
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 1 year of general operations experience
