They are seeking a full-time Purchasing Agent to source and purchase materials and manage supplier relationships to support production schedules.

Responsibilities
Source and purchase raw materials, components, supplies, and services to support production schedules
Issue purchase orders, including intercompany, and manage order confirmations and delivery dates
Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and contracts with suppliers
Maintain and develop strong supplier relationships, to ensure reliability and performance
Track supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, cost) and address issues
Resolve delivery discrepancies and quality concerns
Create and maintain production jobs
Monitor inventory ROP levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid shortages or excess stock
Qualification
Required
Five years of purchasing or buying experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong negotiation and analytical skills
Knowledge of inventory control and demand planning principles
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials, and inventory principles
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
