Electronic Technician

KBR is a company providing maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps. They are seeking an Electronic Technician to install, test, troubleshoot, and repair various types of electronic equipment while providing guidance to lower level technicians.

Responsibilities

Installs, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies and completes associated administrative documentation on various types of electronic equipment such as ground common radio equipment, digital wideband and multiband networking communication equipment, and related electronic devices
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level technicians and assists higher level technicians
Performs other tasks as assigned

Required

Complete the Military Basic Electronics Course and the Ground Transmission Systems Repair Course, or other service equivalent
Five years of directly related work experience
In lieu of military courses/experience, a combination of an AA degree in electronics or equivalent certification from a technical/vocational school, and directly related work experience may be considered, e.g., DOD 8570 IAT level II certification or FCC General Radio Telephone Operator License
Demonstrate basic and some advanced technical knowledge required to solve routine problems by interpreting technical manuals or similar documents
Working knowledge required to adjust, repair, and maintain radio transmitters and receivers to include operating procedures, radio wave propagation, radio practice, electrical principles, circuit components, practical circuits, signals and emissions, and antennas and feed lines
Familiar with the interrelationships of circuits and possess judgment required in planning work sequence, in selecting tools and testing instruments
Ability to obtain and maintain a tactical vehicle operator license as necessary, comply with all accepted practices, established methods, safety standards, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position
U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance and Base Access
