Brakebush Chicken is a family-owned company that has been providing high-quality chicken products for over 90 years. They are seeking a QA Technician to conduct product sampling and perform chemical, microbiological, and physical testing to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

Conducts product sampling as well as chemical, microbiological & physical testing

Basic comprehension of speaking, reading & writing in English

Can write neatly and clearly on all paper-work

Show basic understanding of how to use and operate a computer (and take care of)

Show comprehension and knowledge retention of all Brakebush Irving, Inc. training programs (specifically quality and food safety)

Can be responsible for having, maintaining and cleaning assigned tools

Can complete all required paperwork and database entries accurately and in a timely manner

Can communicate to direct report when there are deviations from the process or specification

Show basic understanding of mathematics (addition, subtraction, percentages, multiplication and/or division)

Have a basic understanding of quality control (acceptable vs. unacceptable)

Can place product on Hold and complete the Hold Tag process in an accurate and timely manner

Communicating with management when there are concerns with the following: Production Safety Employee Relations

Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client
