Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Project and Design Managers and project teams to maintain electrical design standards and quality control
Lead and support designers to meet project milestones and schedules
Develop and review electrical construction documents for accuracy, constructability, and code compliance
Deliver design documents on time and in accordance with agreed-upon deadlines
Ensure designs meet applicable codes, company standards, and client requirements
Apply strong problem-solving skills to complex electrical design challenges
Serve as a steward of VP Engineering’s core values: integrity, honesty, respect, responsiveness, and professionalism
Qualification
Required
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year institution
5+ years of experience designing electrical systems for industrial, commercial and/or multifamily buildings
Strong knowledge of power distribution systems (208V three-phase, 240V single-phase, 480V three-phase)
Strong knowledge of lighting and power system design
Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
Strong knowledge of state and local building codes and technical standards
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and professional publications
Proven ability to guide teams and support project execution
