Responsibilities
Proactively manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities, including ensuring all transactions incurred are recorded in compliance with US GAAP
Lead the execution of the recurring financial month-end close process including approving month-end journal entries, consolidations, reconciliations, and ensuring completion in an accurate and timely manner
Assist in SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance efforts related to technical accounting policies and financial reporting
Prepare, analyze, interpret, and report on income statements, balance sheets, cash flow projections, and other financial data
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to drive operational efficiencies
Ability to research and reconcile discrepancies and verify documents in accordance with accounting procedures and policies
Generate and analyze quarterly reporting package
Be proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements across the organization to increase efficiency within financial reporting
Develop, implement, and maintain accounting and financial controls, policies, and procedures
Analyze forecast versus actual and consult with management to drive course correction
Seek opportunities for process improvements and implement operational accounting efficiencies through improved policies and control enhancements
Oversee internal/external audits and file a variety of reports with regulatory agencies
Ad hoc analysis and reporting requests
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Public Company and/or Public Accounting experience is required
Strong accounting skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
Ability to research and reconcile discrepancies and verify documents in accordance with accounting procedures and policies
Attention to quality and accuracy is of paramount importance in this role
Preferred
CPA preferred
ERP Experience such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, MS Dynamics 365, Sage 300, Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, Workday, MS Business Central, JD Edwards, MS Dynamics GP or Intacct all deemed good
