This role involves leading multiple concurrent infrastructure projects and ensuring schedule certainty, cost control, and safe execution across complex grid initiatives.

Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional teams delivering substation, transmission line, and related utility infrastructure projects from initiation through construction and closeout
Manage a portfolio of approximately 5–20 projects concurrently, ranging from smaller capital work to large, complex programs ($250K–$50M+)
Own project schedules, cost forecasts, and risk mitigation plans to ensure in-service dates are achieved
Navigate formal stage-gate and approval processes, including presentations to senior and executive stakeholders
Coordinate engineering, construction, testing, environmental, real estate, and vendor resources
Maintain accurate project controls, reporting, and executive-level status updates
Lead project meetings and mentor junior team members within a collaborative program environment
Act as a trusted representative of the program when working directly with utility clients and field teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
7+ years of relevant experience in utility engineering or capital delivery roles
Direct experience supporting transmission, distribution, or substation projects
Strong working knowledge of project controls, cost forecasting, schedule, and risk
Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex information
Safety-first mindset with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach
