Responsibilities
Identify and clarify requirements, study requests for proposals (RFPs) to understand requirements and evaluation criteria; develop questions for the Government based on analysis and discussion
Develop, refine, and edit content for Management, Technical, Past Performance, and Resume proposal sections
Maintain quality results by using templates and proposal-writing standards for readability, consistency, and tone
Attend review meetings and incorporate feedback from the review into proposal responses
Interview corporate and industry subject matter experts (SME) to develop content; convert interviews into content; and work iteratively with SME(s) to validate and improve the response
Incorporate content from solution meetings and other contributors into the response; conduct research on technical and management topics to develop and refine solutions and content
Advance proposal sections through review cycles with additional research, interviews, and content development
Perform end-to-end technical and grammar edits on documents as requested
Qualification
Required
BA or BS in English, Journalism, Business/Technical Communications, Information Technology, or other related subject area with 1+ years' experience writing in a professional setting
1+ years' experience writing and editing federal government proposals or other equivalent technical writing experience
Knowledge of and/or familiarity with Shipley, APMP, or equivalent proposal development methods and processes
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office and Microsoft SharePoint
Hours may include time outside of regular workdays (nights, weekends, holidays) as required
Excellent written communication skills (content development, editing, grammar, style, spelling, punctuation, proofreading)
