They are seeking a proactive Security Systems Engineer to lead their Microsoft 365 environment and security operations, ensuring the administration and security of internal and customer-facing environments.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary administrator for Microsoft 365 tenants, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams
Design, deploy, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments to support remote work and application delivery
Utilize Microsoft Intune/RMM for device enrollment, automated patching, and compliance enforcement
Partner with other teams to embed security principles into all systems, including firewalls, VPNs, and cloud environments
Implement and manage IAM, MFA, and privileged access controls to protect sensitive data
Monitor threats and assist in incident response efforts, including containment and root-cause analysis
Perform regular assessments and coordinate the remediation of vulnerabilities across the infrastructure
Maintain documentation and controls to support initiatives such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and NIST
Serve as a subject-matter expert and tier-3 escalation point for service delivery and local leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in systems administration and security engineering, ideally within an MSP or enterprise environment
Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure (AVD focus optional), and Network Security
Familiarity with NIST, CIS, or SOC 2 frameworks
Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical requirements with business needs
Preferred
AZ-104, AZ-500, SC-300, and/or Security+
