Program Engineer

TAI Engineering is a full-service, multi-disciplinary engineering and construction firm. As a Project Engineer, you will manage the full project lifecycle for a critical manufacturing facility restart, coordinating between stakeholders and contractors to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Facilities, Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Quality, and other stakeholders to plan and execute capital and maintenance projects supporting facility restart
Provide day-to-day coordination and oversight of contractors and equipment vendors
Coordinate engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities across multiple disciplines
Develop and maintain project schedules and task-level plans to support restart sequencing and critical path management
Track progress against schedule, identify constraints or risks early, and support resolution of issues to maintain project momentum
Support development of capital requests, cost estimates, bid evaluations, and contractor selection
Manage and support change control related to scope, schedule, and cost in accordance with site and corporate procedures
Support field execution through site walks, issue resolution, and coordination between trades and stakeholders
Ensure all activities are executed in compliance with applicable GMP, EHS, and site quality requirements
Support commissioning, qualification, and start-up activities to ensure systems are safe, functional, and compliant prior to turnover to operations

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in project engineering, facilities engineering, or capital project execution in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotech, or industrial environments
Experience supporting capital projects through design, construction, commissioning, and start-up
Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
Ability to work effectively across functions and with external contractors and vendors

Preferred

Familiarity with regulated environments (GMP, EHS, Quality systems) preferred
Experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environment
Familiarity with commissioning, qualification, and validation processes
Experience with project scheduling tools and cost tracking systems
