Responsibilities
Use Mastercam software to efficiently generate CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis lathes, mills, and machining centers
Generate and maintain CNC programs and setup sheets in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment
Select appropriate tooling for machining complex parts made from steel, copper, and high-nickel alloy materials
Define and optimize speeds and feeds to maximize tool life in demanding, high-precision applications
Recommend drawing modifications to improve manufacturability and overall CNC programming strategy
Design and develop machine fixture tooling as needed to support production requirements
Meet established productivity, quality, and production goals
Provide ongoing feedback and innovative ideas to support continuous process improvement
Run machining simulations using Vericut to validate programs, estimate accurate cycle times, and prevent machine collisions
Qualification
Required
Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible for consideration at this time
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying
Availability to work overtime and weekends as business needs require
Ability to work first and second shift assignments
6 or more years of CNC programming experience using Mastercam software
Experience programming 5-axis CNC machines
High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred
Experience using Esprit software
Experience working with multi-axis mill and lathe CNC machines
Experience programming or operating DMG Mori DMU/DMC 5-axis milling centers
Experience programming or operating Mazak Integrex machines
Experience working with ERP software systems
Experience programming or operating Ingersoll gantry machines
Experience working with vertical lathe machines
Experience using Mastercam software
