Instructional Consultant II

Responsibilities
Guiding, mentoring and developing faculty throughout their lifecycle with ERAU-W
Reviewing courses to ensure adherence to contractual agreements and evidence-based instructional practices
Engaging in dispute resolution by effective communication with academic advisors and college leadership
Collaborating with college leadership to quickly address concerns and offer additional training opportunities
Serving as an expert in pedagogy, instructional technology, reflective teaching, and the scholarship of teaching and learning
Actively and continuously engaging in professional development activities
Training and mentoring new faculty by facilitating iTeachER, the required faculty training experience
Engaging in regular supportive communication with new faculty during their first term teaching
Identifying instructional opportunities and providing appropriate support through regular consultations with new and veteran faculty
Supporting regular updates of existing resources, or creation of new support materials to enhance instructional excellence
Working with their college team to design, deliver and evaluate college-specific resources and offerings
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Educational Administration, Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or another related field
3-5 years of related work experience
At least three years of teaching experience, preferably online higher education experience
Excellent skills in performing administrative tasks
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent research skills in the areas of evidence-based teaching practices
Strong project management skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with faculty, RCTLE staff, and staff in various positions
Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work without close supervision
