Sr Project Manager – Special Projects Group
Hays Electrical Services is a leading electrical contractor specializing in commercial, hospitality, and multifamily projects. The Sr Project Manager – Special Projects Group is responsible for driving the execution of multiple electrical construction projects, ensuring they are well set up, financially controlled, and efficiently delivered from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities
Review and approve all bids before going to contract
Review all scopes of work and contracts
Review and approve all Pre-Construction/Design Build plans
Review and approve all Project Budgets
Review and approve all Schedule of Values
Review all AIA’s or Pay App from GC
Review of GC Construction Schedule
Review Subcontractors Master Agreements
Lead preconstruction handoff meeting with the Project Manager and Foreman of the job
Assist with identifying Prefab opportunities
Walk projects monthly with PM to ensure the percentages are completed and match CTC Reports
Review all large PO buyouts to ensure accuracy
Review all subcontract buyouts to ensure scope of work and language is correct
Review all Change Orders
Review forecast for weekly labor allocation
Review monthly CTC reports with PM before presenting to leadership
Conduct weekly progress meetings with Project Manager and leadership
Assist and/or review the Project Manager’s monthly billings before the 20th of each month
Business development and networking
Ensure safety and profitability of Special Projects group
Conduct weekly projects meeting with the Special Projects group, identifying and helping to resolve roadblocks, fade in profit margins, supply chain issues, etc
Attend meetings with leadership and provide monthly forecast and backlog projections
Teach, mentor, and coach staff and field craft
Drive sustainable growth
Qualification
Required
Over 18 years of experience in project management
Experience managing multiple electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Ability to review and approve bids, scopes of work, contracts, Pre-Construction/Design Build plans, project budgets, and schedules of values
Experience in conducting preconstruction handoff meetings
Ability to walk projects monthly with project managers to ensure completion percentages match reports
Experience in reviewing large purchase order buyouts and subcontract buyouts for accuracy
Ability to review change orders and forecasts for weekly labor allocation
Experience in conducting weekly progress meetings with project managers and leadership
Ability to assist and review monthly billings
Experience in business development and networking
Ability to ensure safety and profitability of the Special Projects group
Experience in conducting weekly project meetings to resolve roadblocks and supply chain issues
Ability to attend leadership meetings and provide monthly forecasts and backlog projections
Experience in teaching, mentoring, and coaching staff and field craft
