Responsibilities

Prepare, organize, index, develop, and manage relevant data including electronic court filings, and evidence
Assist with and organize voluminous discovery projects
Maintain complex calendars
Handle and draft professional correspondence
Review preliminary invoices
Coordinate travel arrangements
Answer phones and act as contact to internal and external customers
Intake new cases
Collaborate and support the team to provide responsive customer service
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned

Required

Litigation experience, required
Associate Degree or equivalent training/work experience, required
5+ years of legal administrative litigation support experience within a legal department or law firm or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with professional services billing systems
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
Strong typing skills
Effective time management and high level of attention to detail skills to balance the workload of Partner and Associate attorneys and efficiently prioritize requests
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; can collaborate with all levels of staff both orally and in writing
Good analytical skills
Ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
Ability to represent a positive and professional image
Demonstrated proficiency in computer software applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); Outlook for calendaring meetings, events, etc
Proven ability to schedule meetings and conference calls with multiple parties and arrange travel
Advanced level of knowledge of legal terminology
Strong skills to research and problem-solve to obtain information or data from various sources and materials and organize with excellent attention to detail into a comprehensive package
Demonstrated knowledge of filing and record tracking systems, both paper and electronic
Ability to use high level of discretion and maintain all attorney-client confidentiality
Working knowledge of legal process, protocols and procedures
Ability to multi-task within demanding time frames despite interruptions

Preferred

ProLaw experience, a plus
Experience with document management systems and best practices, strongly desired
Experience with eDiscovery, a plus
