Responsibilities
General ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and maintain financial records in accordance with company policies
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
Support audits and financial reporting requests
Data preparation for ad hoc reporting and analysis
Processing bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll
Ensure accurate tracking of hours, PTO, and deductions
Help resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable laws
Assist with administration of employee benefits (health, dental, vision, retirement, etc.)
Support new hire enrollments, life events, and terminations
Maintain benefits records and assist with open enrollment
Respond to basic employee benefits questions and escalate when needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or in progress) - or 5 Years relevant experience
0–2 years of accounting, payroll, or related experience
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Preferred
Experience with accounting or payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP, Paychex, Gusto, or similar)
Familiarity with payroll tax filings and benefits administration
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
