Research Technician II - Mouse Behavior and Imaging Research

Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Research Technician II to provide technical support for ongoing projects within the lab. The candidate will assist graduate students by preparing and conducting laboratory research experiments, analyzing data, and documenting results.

Responsibilities

Prepares and conducts laboratory research experiments
Conducts experiments on mice
Collects, compiles and analyzes data
Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study
Documents results of experiments including help backup data to repositories as stipulated by our Data Management and Sharing Plan
Selects, evaluates and applies techniques used in routine research
Orders laboratory supplies and equipment
Performs other job related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement
No experience required
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment

Preferred

Master's degree in a basic science or a related field
Prior experience working with mice
Prior experience working in a research lab
Experience with statistical analysis programs. I.e Excel, PRISM or R
