Responsibilities
Serving as the project coordinator for current research projects, including but not limited to a study examining the efficacy of open label placebos for pain relief
Assisting Principal Investigators in the department with grant-writing
If desired, applicants may have an opportunity to pursue their own grants as Principal Investigator
Assisting with manuscript writing and preparation as a co-author
Pursuing independent research if desired and opportunities arise
Qualification
Required
A doctorate degree (e.g. Ph.D. or Sc.D.) upon start date is preferred, though an applicant in the All But Dissertation (ABD) phase will be considered
The doctorate degree should be in psychology, public health, epidemiology, cognitive science, or a related field
Experience writing manuscripts
Minimum 2 years' research experience in a related discipline
Must be at the ABD stage at minimum
Experience managing research projects
Sufficient visual acuity and manual dexterity to use computer keyboard and other common lab and office equipment
Ability to train and work with volunteers and students on projects
Preferred
A strong publication record is preferred
Experience with grant writing is preferred
Experience with in-person data collection in psychological studies is preferred
Experience with research in placebo studies is preferred
