Responsibilities
Supervises the staff, oversees the contracted employees, and assures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements
Has direct responsibility for the testing within the department
Supported with respect to processing and client relationships by the facility managers
Oversees the contractual relationships with the laboratory vendors
Works in conjunction with the facility managers and the Director of Central Laboratory Services to assure proper turnaround times and accurate reports
Assist the Facility Managers with duties associated with team resources, quality reporting, infectious disease reporting, education, marketing and processing expense and billing information to the appropriate departments
Implements and maintains the appropriate databases for this information
Assists with budgets and quality reports
Qualification
Required
Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License
American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Histology Certification
Bachelor's degree related field
5 years of Clinical Laboratory Experience
