Immigration Specialist

The Immigration Specialist provides advanced subject matter expertise and strategic operational leadership for relocation and immigration programs across NAFTA HR entities, ensuring compliance and high-quality service delivery while advising senior leaders and HR teams.

Responsibilities
Serve as the regional subject matter expert for domestic corporate mobility and immigration programs across NA HR entities
Provide consultative guidance to HR, Talent Acquisition, and leadership on complex immigration scenarios, policy interpretation, and risk considerations
Prepare and deliver policy recommendations, benchmarking insights, or cost analysis
Ensure ongoing compliance with immigration laws and internal governance standards across all supported entities
Stay current on regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices, proactively advising the organization and escalating risks as appropriate
Partner closely with OGC / Legal on complex employee or company matters, ensuring alignment and risk mitigation
Act as the primary liaison between employees, immigration legal counsel, mobility vendors, HR, and hiring managers
Actively monitor visa and work authorization expirations, secure approvals, and initiate renewal processes in a timely manner
Manage vendor relationships, including performance oversight, escalation management, and service quality assurance
Track, analyze, and report program costs, trends, and risks, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency
Identify and report KPIs, service metrics, and performance trends to leadership
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application
This position requires a minimum of 8 years of overall work experience
Bachelor's Degree required
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Human Resources, Management, or related field
Preferred
5+ years experience in HR, Shared Services, Mobility, Immigration, or related functional area
Experience supporting immigration cases
Proven ability to analyze and interpret data, trends, and financial information
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to Senior Manager level
High degree of judgment, attention to detail, and accountability
Consistent record of follow-through, timely delivery, and independent problem solving
Master's Degree preferred
