The Hardware Design Specialist will support the Avionics Engineering team in designing and verifying high voltage power systems for the X-BAT aircraft, including responsibilities in testing, design, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
Set up and execute test campaigns for custom circuits and sub-systems such as verifying logic levels, voltage rails, and basic circuit functions
Perform benchtop PCBA testing and debugging
Support engineers through environmental qualification that includes temperature, vibration, altitude, humidity, etc
Design, verify, and deploy simple PCBAs, fixtures, and harnesses
Assist with the avionics lab design and buildout
Qualification
Required
2+ years working around high voltage, high power systems. Such as 270V and higher
Experience performing benchtop testing with basic EE equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, electronic load, thermal chamber, etc.)
Experience performing PCBA and harness rework
Proficiency reading and interpreting schematics
Experience working on multidisciplinary hardware development projects, which can be from an internship, job, club, team, personal project, etc…
Demonstrated history of showing ownership of project outcomes and delivering exceptional results
Record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others
