Responsibilities

Observe all safety procedures and use equipment and materials properly
Setup, Shutdown, Operate, and Adjust manufacturing equipment to produce various wire and cable components or subcomponents
Must be able to access and read documentation including specifications and run and or adjust equipment and or test equipment to achieve specifications
Meet production standards by performing quality checks, in accordance with ISO procedures and following process and manufacturing specification sheets
Troubleshoot manufacturing process, meeting production schedules, and customer deadlines
Maintain a clean workspace following all 6S guidelines, and equipment as specified
Document production paperwork neatly and legibly, both written and electronically
Communicate and work closely with fellow operators and supervisors to coordinate tasks, discuss production problems, and exchange information to produce quality products
Obey all safety rules, use caution in work activities, and continuously practice safe behaviors following all Safety policies
Immediately reporting unsafe conditions/behaviors and work-related injuries to site supervision
Train and mentor new employees in the operation and function of equipment
Perform all other duties as assigned

Required

At least six months of tenure at Proterial and qualified to run either Machine Operator I or Machine Operator II production lines
Must fulfill minimum skill requirements from the training qualification checklist of Level III Machine(s)
Wire and cable experience required, with the organization requiring specialized knowledge and skills for this role
High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent reading comprehension skills to understand written manufacturing specifications, process sheets, instructions, and procedures
Strong oral and written communication skills to exchange information with co-workers and supervisors
Computer Skill: Basic level required to enter data into a computerized system and navigate manufacturing software
Excellent mathematical skills and above-average mechanical aptitude for accurate measurements and calculations
Strong attention to detail is required in machine operation to minimize scrap
Ability to work independently with minimal direction, demonstrating initiative and self-direction
Hands-on experience and knowledge using micrometers, calipers, venires, and other measuring devices for precise measurements
Ability to read and interpret gauges, dials, and equipment controls to ensure machinery is operating within specified parameters
Ability to lift, carry, and relocate approximately 50 lbs. of objects, materials, and/or product to support production needs
Visual acuity and the ability to distinguish colors and pass a colorblind test to identify coded cables, products, and material, ensuring quality control and safety
