EPIC Wisdom Application Analyst
Swoon is actively seeking an EPIC Wisdom Application Analyst to join the team. This role involves leading the implementation of Epic Wisdom, configuring workflows, and providing ongoing support as a subject matter expert.
Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and installation of Epic Wisdom (Practice Management), including new application components, module upgrades, enhancements, and system modifications to support evolving business needs
Configure and validate Epic Wisdom workflows and application settings, ensuring accurate build, strong usability, and alignment with operational and clinical requirements
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (clinical teams, scheduling, billing, IT, and business analysts) to gather requirements, document workflows, and translate needs into scalable Epic Wisdom solutions
Provide go-live planning and onsite/remote go-live support, ensuring successful deployments, issue triage, and minimal disruption to patient access and revenue cycle operations
Deliver ongoing application support as an Epic Wisdom subject matter expert, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, optimization recommendations, and Tier 2/3 end-user issue resolution
Develop and deliver end-user training and knowledge transfer, enabling scheduling and billing teams to confidently operate the system while improving adoption and consistency in daily use
Support system optimization and continuous improvement efforts, analyzing current-state workflows (especially dental practice scheduling and billing interactions) and implementing enhancements to improve patient experience and operational efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
5+ years of experience as an Application Analyst, with strong hands-on ownership of Epic Wisdom configuration, support, and workflow build
Epic certification required, including Epic Ambulatory certification and Wisdom project experience (with a clear path to complete/maintain Wisdom certification)
Proven ability to analyze complex workflow and system issues, troubleshoot effectively, and deliver practical solutions in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Strong capability to lead, coordinate, and facilitate meetings with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to drive outcomes and align requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical details into clear, user-friendly guidance for non-technical teams
Experience with analytics tools, user-focused design, and data visualization, with a solid understanding of Epic application build, end-user workflows, and patterns of system use
