Responsibilities

Lead root cause analysis for field and warranty issues; develop and implement containment and corrective actions
Manage engineering changes and ensure timely release and PPAP
Collaborate with suppliers to improve manufacturing quality and reduce defects
Conduct supplier process audits and capability studies, drive corrective actions for non-conformances
Support validation of running changes and ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Maintain configuration control and documentation for all BDU components
Communicate status, risks, and issue resolution plans to leadership and cross-functional teams
Track and report metrics: warranty reduction, defect containment timing, and change implementation effectiveness

Required

BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field
2+ years of experience in automotive component release, quality, or manufacturing support
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex warranty and quality issues
Experience with engineering change management and supplier quality processes
Ability to influence cross-functional teams and suppliers to drive improvements
Excellent communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement
Willingness to travel (domestic & international) for supplier and plant support

Preferred

Experience with high-voltage components and power distribution systems
Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, and automotive quality standards
Familiarity with DFMEA and problem-solving methodologies
Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM tools
Understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis for troubleshooting mechanical issues
Familiarity with GM embedded controls and diagnostics
