Responsibilities
Work as a team member who understands/interprets technical problems and provides technical support
Solve assigned problems under guidance of more senior engineers
Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites
Design and develop a processing platform using various configuration management technologies
Test software development methodology (may be done in agile environment)
Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms
Collaborate cross-functionally with customers, users, project managers and other engineers including Peer-Reviews to achieve elegant solutions
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices
Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations
Qualification
Required
1 to 3 years of experience
Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to manage a single line engineering project with a limited number of participants
Demonstrate 'Individual Leadership Behaviors' as per Celestica Leadership Imperatives
Solid understanding of Celestica's budgeting and accounting system and the cost accounting practices relevant to engineering work
Ability to communicate clearly and timely all aspects of your work that may have an influence on the profitability of the project
Coaching/Mentoring; Communication/Negotiation/Presentation; Creative Problem Solving; Customer Interaction/Stakeholder Management; Quality & Lean; Working Effectively with Others; D/PFMEA; 8D/Corrective Action; Equipment Safety; Design of Experiments (DOE) may also be required and performed with help or under supervision
Ability to write, debug, maintain, and test software in various common languages
Experience with software development methodology (may be done in agile environment)
Ability to analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with customers, users, project managers and other engineers including Peer-Reviews
