DWM Watershed Plan Reviewer I (Engineering Services)
The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management is responsible for managing the city's water resources, and they are seeking a Watershed Plan Reviewer I to provide plan review services and field support. This role involves managing engineering projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate effective water management practices.

Responsibilities
Collect and review all aspects of engineer drawings, studies and reports. Create and comment on plan revisions to assist Engineer on requirements for approval
Coordinates document management activities with team to ensure effective and efficient maintenance of document. Prepares updates in database regarding plan review and other issues that may arise. Routes plans through the review process by entering data in Accela permitting software
Ensure and enforce compliance with Federal, State, City and AWWA Codes regarding engineering design requirements
Provide explanation of departmental procedures to customers to facilitate permits, issuance requirements and payment of services; to direct customers to appropriate areas for services requested
Coordinate with other Engineering Divisions, Watershed Offices, City Departments and external Agencies
Create an accurate cost estimate
Research projects and perform site visits to gather information. Assists with pre-construction meetings with contractor and engineer to discuss the installation of water services
May perform other duties assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related area
Two (2) years of Construction or Project Management related experience
Must have some knowledge of Federal and State regulations
Valid Stat of Georgia Driver's License
Wastewater and/or Water Distribution Certification or within eight (8) months of employment within said department seeking certification
Georgia Soil & Water Conservation Commission (GSWCC)
Georgia Soil & Water Conservation Commissioner (GSWCC) Level II Certification or ability to acquire is required
Possess the skill and ability to read, interpret and critique engineering plans and drawings, plats and surveys, as-built drawing and easements plats, contour maps, profile drawings and cross-section drawings
Methods and techniques of installation procedures, as required in the performance of duties
Compile and analyze data, prepare reports and make recommendations
Current technology for plan review approval, document maintenance, storage and preservation
Ability to apply general knowledge across organization or discipline lines
