Human Resources Director
The Midtown Group is partnering with a rapidly scaling healthcare services organization to hire a Director of Human Resources to lead U.S. HR operations. This role involves overseeing payroll, benefits administration, and the entire HR lifecycle while ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop a U.S.-based HR team (3–5 employees)
Oversee payroll (ADP), benefits administration (broker-supported), and HR operations
Drive end-to-end HR lifecycle: onboarding, employee relations, performance management, offboarding
Ensure compliance with U.S. employment laws and HR best practices: including I-9 / E-Verify
Partner closely with operations leadership to support periods of heavy hiring and workforce scaling
Serve as a visible, trusted HR leader for a ~500-employee U.S. population
Qualification
Required
8+ years HR experience with 3+ years in leadership
Strong foundation across HR operations (not just benefits or payroll)
Working knowledge of HR compliance + documentation (I-9/E-Verify experience is important)
Comfortable in fast-growing, evolving environments where processes are still being built
Proactive, execution-focused, and confident operating with senior leaders
