Responsibilities
Teaching: Teach three courses a year on topics related to the grant (social and political philosophy, social epistemology, philosophy of science) as well as participate in other pedagogical activities associated with the grant (ethics bowl, civil discourse ambassadors program, etc.)
Service: Contributing to the success of our community engagement work, as well as assisting with our speaker series and workshops
Qualification
Required
PhD in Philosophy or a related field
Experience teaching at the college level
Ability to teach courses on social and political philosophy, social epistemology, and philosophy of science
Commitment to community engagement and civil discourse
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Experience with community engagement projects
Familiarity with ethics bowl or similar programs
Interest in civic renewal initiatives
