Responsibilities

Conducts Monthly Area Team Reliability meetings to progress reliability items
Stewards of Equipment data to help drive projects/upgrade justifications
Provides technical assistance and troubleshooting support in resolving design, operation, and maintenance issues for both rotating and fixed equipment within all assigned area teams. Contacts internal and external experts as needed
Utilizes reliability tools such as reliability analytics, failure evaluations, and cost analysis to improve the reliability of rotating and fixed equipment systems
Writes PRFs for reliability improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and similar initiatives, including financial justification through life cycle cost analysis, and facilitates DSP development. Champions MOC as appropriate
Develops & reviews turnaround work lists and scopes for critical equipment
Helps establish equipment monitoring plans and control limits
Ensures equipment repairs meet or exceed OEM specifications
Conducts post-audits to measure the effectiveness of significant reliability-related projects and activities
Provides technical assistance for decision-making on repair solutions during turnarounds and unplanned equipment outages
Reviews corporate specifications for potential improvement based on industry and site-specific experience as appropriate
Provides technical expertise and support to capital project development
Occasional weekend duty will be required a few times per year

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
Zero (0) years or more of experience required
A Valid Driver's License required

Preferred

Working knowledge of API 571 'Damage Mechanisms Affecting Fixed Equipment in the Refining Industry'
Knowledge of API 579 Fitness for Service (Level 1 and Level 2 analyses)
Awareness and general understanding of maintenance/reliability management systems including SAP, APM; API RBI Software
General knowledge in the design and application of various types of Mechanical equipment at the refinery
Knowledge/experience with Refinery Coker Units
Working knowledge of all applicable industry and company standards (RSPs and Core Specifications)-internal
Experience using the following computer programs or similar: Compress/Plant Manager/Ceasar
