Responsibilities
Proactively reach out to existing contacts and new prospects (farms and dealers) through cold-calling and strategic business development
Gain understanding of agronomic practices & challenges, and position Solugen fertilizer products to fit into an overall program
Record and report results, activities, and client information within company systems to maintain transparency and alignment
Forecast sales volumes and timelines, allowing for accurate planning and goal-setting
Represent the company at industry shows and events
Work collaboratively within a team to maximize your individual performance as well as that of the group
Qualification
Required
Degree in an agricultural field or relevant combination of education & experience
Background in crop production and/or soil fertility, with a solid understanding of fruit and vegetable production within the region
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of success
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel (mileage compensated)
Basic proficiency with computers, including email, spreadsheets, and basic sales tracking
Preferred
Degree in an agricultural field or related area
Prior experience in fertilizer sales, preferably on fruit and vegetable crops
Experience working with organic farms in the region
Spanish language skills an asset
