Responsibilities
Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies
Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build
Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization
Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements
Resolves complex technical problems
Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained
Leads advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities
Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods. Documents and communicates producibility best practices
Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for air vehicle subsystems
Ensure production readiness by identifying and mitigating risks, optimizing workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency
Support operations by streamlining processes, improving quality, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers
Utilize data analysis and engineering principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in design reviews and lead manufacturability and assembly decisions
Qualification
Required
B.S. or higher in Aerospace, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
Composite Fabrication experience
Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers
Experience with 3D model based instruction
Experience with any of the following: IVT, CREO, CATIA, NX, IPDM Teamcenter, MES, Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, DELMIA, VisMockup, ProModel, FlexSim, 3D Printed Parts, Moonshine Shop, Maker Space, ImDev, ICIDO, Multi-Monitor Collaborative Rooms, Enterprise Standard Gated Process
Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci)
Experience with CINCOM
Experience reviewing and approving other engineers' work (installation plans, tool orders, line stock checks, etc.)
