Engineering Directorate Support Intern
Astrion is seeking undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students for support to spaceflight engineering efforts at NASA Ames Research Center. The Engineering Directorate Support Intern will assist with various projects and missions related to mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering throughout different stages of the mission life-cycle.

Responsibilities
Assist projects with mechanical, electrical and/or systems engineering requirements for payload systems and subsystems
Assist projects with testing, verification and validation of flight hardware
Assist projects with developing requirements and documentation for flight missions
Support mission design efforts with industry and trade studies and research
Support ongoing lab activities for spaceflight projects including developing and maintaining procedures and associated documentation; performance of lab operational duties; maintenance and development of lab hardware and facilities
Qualification
Required
Be enrolled and obtaining a BS, MS or PhD in an accredited engineering program
Possess strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
Demonstrate a strong technical aptitude for mechanical, electrical or systems engineering functions
Practice clear interpersonal communication; have an ability and desire to work collaboratively with mission team members from various fields and backgrounds
Possess exceptional drive for mission success and a desire to support mission success through all tasks assigned
Possess an ability to work in a dynamic, team-based environment with mission-critical deadlines and deliverables
Applicants for positions which require a US government security clearance must meet eligibility requirements to include US citizenship
