Manufacturing Engineer I

Responsibilities
Provides technical support in areas of manufacturing
Responsible for continuous improvement, process development, process parameters/control/optimization, and equipment/technology support
Identifies and analyzes manufacturing problems related to production processes
Prepares process specifications, route sheets, material specifications, technical drawings and design sheets. Initiates and implements engineering changes and document revisions
Designs and executes engineering tests. Issues final technical reports with conclusions
Initiates and implements engineering changes and document revisions
Support SCHOTT's overall strategies and road maps to success
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
B.S. Degree in a technical discipline
Strong analytical ability and a disciplined problem-solving approach
Computer proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office software
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Effective communication skills: listening, writing, speaking and oral presentations
Self-motivated and results oriented
Able and willing to work with others on a team
Ability to support department and corporate policies and goals
Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, US Person status may be required
