Electronic Security Technician (Job ID: 4074)
Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for Electronics Technicians (Electronic Security) who will provide key support for Department of Defense (DoD) Electronic Security Systems in Killeen, TX. The role involves installing, testing, and troubleshooting Electronic Security System equipment as well as interpreting schematics and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities
Responsible for installing Electronic Security Systems to DoD specific guideline and requirements
Read and interpret electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical schematics
Read and interpret building construction plans (blueprints)
Be familiar with and use test equipment such as multimeters and cable testers (e.g., Fluke, Klein, Ideal)
Perform maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of security wiring & power circuits
Qualification
Required
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of Electronic Security Technician experience
Must have at least 2 years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance and troubleshooting
Responsible for installing Electronic Security Systems to DoD specific guideline and requirements
Read and interpret electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical schematics
Read and interpret building construction plans (blueprints)
Be familiar with and use test equipment such as multimeters and cable testers (e.g., Fluke, Klein, Ideal)
Perform maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of security wiring & power circuits
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD 'Secret' security clearance
Must be a US Citizen with a valid Driver's License
Must be able to reach, climb, stoop, & kneel up to 75% of the time
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred
Formal Electronics training from Technical School, Class A or B Military School in electronics or communications, or 4 years apprentice program preferred
Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors preferred
Manufacturer's certification or technical training is highly desirable (Specifically Lenel, Genetec, Security+) preferred
Able to use basic hand tools and test equipment preferred
Able to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment, be detailed orientated, and self-motivated preferred
Strong verbal communication skills
Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and practices such as grounding and electrical safety
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products and Adobe Acrobat
OSHA 10- or 30-hour Safety Certification
CPR and First Aid Certification
Minimum of Two (2) years of experience as a technician with installation or maintenance of electronics/electrical systems including, but not limited to: Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control Systems, Closed Circuit Television, Intercom Systems, Mass Notification Systems, IP Network Infrastructure, Conduit Installation, Low Voltage Electrical Systems
Knowledge of TCP/IP Network Systems and Topology preferred
