Responsibilities
Teach K-12 American Sign Language classes remotely
Adapt to classes that start throughout the semester
Commit to consistent attendance as the teacher of record
Maintain professionalism in the classroom environment
Meet deadlines set by Elevate and the school calendar
Ensure reliable internet connection and a professional teaching environment
Qualification
Required
Professional level Science Special Education teacher certificate
Willingness to go through reciprocity to get certified in additional state(s)
Active, verifiable teaching certification in the United States for American Sign Language
Certified and experienced with teaching students in grades K-12
Must physically reside in the United States during the 2025-2026 school year due to student information security requirements with our partner schools
A daily available time block of at least three consecutive hours, Monday through Friday, 8am - 4pm EST
Ability to work a part-time schedule of 10-20 hours per week during normal school hours
A laptop or desktop computer with a reliable high-speed internet connection
A passion for remarkable teaching
