Responsibilities
Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC fabrication and welding equipment
Turn digital design files into finished metal and wood components such as metal brackets, panels, wood podiums, etc
Experiment with materials like aluminum, stainless steel, aluminum, and wood
Help identify parts and products we can fabricate in-house to save time and money
Run prototype and production jobs while maintaining quality and accuracy
Develop standard processes, safety practices, and maintenance routines
Collaborate with teammates to integrate fabricated parts into active projects
Become the go-to resource for fabrication knowledge within the company
Qualification
Required
1+ years' experience or education related to CNC, fabrication, and machining with different types of materials, tolerances, finishing processes and inspection tools
Familiarity with CAD/CAM design software like LightBurn, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, or similar
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Willingness to follow safety procedures and implement best practices
Ability to read drawings or learn to interpret technical designs
Self-motivated and love working in a figure-it-out-as-you-go environment
Preferred
Laser, TIG, or MIG welding exposure
Experience with custom metal or wood fabrication
Prototyping or AV/technology hardware experience
